"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Accordingly, a 5-carat diamond weighs 1 gram. The diamond of your choice weighs 1,06 carats and measures approx. 6.60 - 6.62 x 3.98 mm.

For fancy coloured diamonds, the intensity of the colouring is divided into nine levels. Category seven of nine, "fancy vivid", is the most vivid and intense colour category for diamonds. The shade is clearly visible here and immediately catches the eye with its extraordinary brilliance. These diamonds are highly sought-after, both on their own and in luxurious pieces of jewellery.

A diamond of purity grade "VS2" has such clear inclusions under 10x magnification that they can even be recognised by the naked eye. The inclusions are larger or more numerous than in VS1 diamonds and are particularly easy to recognise when they are located on larger diamonds or open facets. Nevertheless, VS2 diamonds still offer impressive clarity and brilliance with a good balance between price and quality.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
