"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Accordingly, a 5-carat diamond weighs 1 gram. The diamond of your choice weighs carats and measures approx. .

Während „colorless“ die höchste aller Farbkategorien mit den drei Farbunterstufen D, E und F bildet, nennt sich die zweitbeste aller Farbkategorien „near colorless“. Die Farbstufe G ist die beste innerhalb dieser Kategorie. Diamanten dieses Grades sind fast farblos. Ihr sehr leichter Farbunterschied ist nur im direkten Vergleich zu farblosen Diamanten der höchsten Grade erkennbar. Alleinstehend betrachtet oder in Schmuck eingefasst, wirken Diamanten mit Grad G farblos und sind daher auch eine hervorragende Wahl hinsichtlich des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses. Aufgrund dessen gelten sie als besonders beliebt.

Clarity: VS+

Ein Diamant der Reinheitsstufe „VS2“ weist so deutliche Einschlüsse unter 10-facher Vergrößerung auf, dass sie sogar für das bloße Augen erkennbar sein können. Die Einschlüsse sind größer oder zahlreicher als bei VS1-Diamanten und besonders leicht erkennbar, wenn sie sich auf größeren Diamanten oder offenen Facetten befinden. Dennoch bieten VS2-Diamanten noch immer eine beeindruckende Klarheit und Brillanz bei einer guten Balance zwischen Preis und Qualität.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts.
