Diamonds whose colour grade has been rated "E" by GIA are colourless or very fine white and are just behind the highest rated grade "D" on the colour scale. Diamonds of colour grade "E" are therefore among the most valuable specimens in terms of colour.

Diamonds of purity grade "VS1" have small inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification, but appear barely detectable to the naked eye. They hardly affect the appearance of the diamond, which makes VS1 diamonds an excellent choice for anyone who values a good balance between clarity and price.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
