The 4Cs of your diamond

"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Accordingly, a 5-carat diamond weighs 1 gram. The diamond of your choice weighs 2,03 carats and measures approx. 8.16 - 8.20 x 4.96 mm.

Colour: E

Diamonds whose colour grade has been rated "E" by GIA are colourless or very fine white and are just behind the highest rated grade "D" on the colour scale. They are in the top category, "colourless". The difference in colour from the highest grade is only visible to professional gemmologists when compared with sample stones. Diamonds of colour grade "E" are therefore among the most valuable specimens in terms of colour.

Clarity: VS1

Diamonds of purity grade "VS1" have small inclusions that are visible under 10x magnification, but appear barely detectable to the naked eye. They hardly affect the appearance of the diamond, which makes VS1 diamonds an excellent choice for anyone who values a good balance between clarity and price.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
