"Carat" is the internationally recognised unit in which the weight of a diamond or gemstone is measured. One carat corresponds to exactly 200 milligrams or 0.2 grams. Accordingly, a 5-carat diamond weighs 1 gram. The diamond of your choice weighs 1,02 carats and measures approx. 6.48 - 6.51 x 3.97 mm.

Colour: J

Diamonds of colour grade "J" are just within the "near colourless" range. They are not pure in colour or white, but slightly tinted, bordering on "tinted". However, when set in jewellery, especially yellow gold, the slightly yellowish colour is hardly noticeable. Grade J diamonds are therefore a very good choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of real diamonds at a reasonable price.

Clarity: VVS2

In VVS2 diamonds, the inclusions are also extremely small, but somewhat easier to detect than in VVS1 diamonds. The inclusions may also have a more central position, but they hardly affect the clarity and brilliance of the diamond and are still invisible to the naked eye. Diamonds with VVS2 clarity create an excellent balance between clarity and value and are therefore among the most popular specimens.

Cut

The cut of a diamond determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. The cut is therefore not, as is often confused, the shape of the stone. The cut quality is determined on the basis of three criteria: Polish (polish), symmetry (symmetry) and the cut proportions. For some cut shapes, the "cut grade" value also counts. If a diamond is cut too shallow or deep, it loses brilliance due to fewer reflections on the side facets.
